An enormous thank you to Variety – the Children’s Charity of the NT for their generous donation through the Future Kids Program to purchase essential equipment to support Carpentaria Kids.
A range of items have been purchased to support learning development and these will have a profound impact on the quality of services Carpentaria Kids will provide now and into the future.
Items purchased include communication technology to support Carpentaria Kids’ ‘MiVoice’ initiative which uses communication technology to support children who require augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) support. Carpentaria also purchased therapy equipment including seating, tables and a standing frame to support the appropriate positioning of children for optimal social engagement and motor development.
The ability for therapists to have these items of equipment available for therapy sessions and for families to trial is invaluable, allowing therapists to provide ongoing evidence based practice. Carpentaria acknowledges Variety – the Children’s Charity of the NT for their generous support.
