12 graduates have recently completed Carpentaria’s inaugural Social Stories – Traffic Awareness program.
Offered through Carpentaria’s Adult Day Service, the six week program provided participants with the hands-on opportunity to learn and develop skills using Boardmaker (an online Augmentative and Alternative Communication tool), 3D visuals and practical exercises.
Social Stories is facilitated by Carpentaria’s Adult Education and Communication Specialist, Betsy Hingston and supported by Disability Support Workers in the Adult Day Service, Lifestyle Options program.
